Ed Meyer, Board Chairman writes on behalf of the Board of Directors;
I am truly pleased and grateful to God to be able to announce the appointment of John Launstein as the new CEO of CSB Ministries.
We see this as a real answer to prayer and God’s provision. We are also excited because of John’s personal history with Brigade and the fact that he has been leading CSB Canada for the past 20 months. John will continue serve as the CEO for Canada as well as the U.S. We see this as another opportunity to strengthen the relationship between Canada & the U.S. as well as strengthening our ability to move forward boldly together for all that God has in store.
Please join us in congratulating John on his appointment. I know he will appreciate your prayers and support in the days ahead. John begins his new role on November 16.
The Board expressed it’s appreciation at our meeting this past weekend to Don Paterson for pouring out his heart and soul, as well as his talents, gifts and energy, for CSB over the past six years. We wish him well and will continue to pray for him in his new calling.

CSB Ministries is hosting an Iron Sharpens Iron conference on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at The Wesleyan Church of Hamburg.
In order to strengthen area churches, CSB and Camp Hickory Hill are proud to present a one day equipping conference, specifically designed for men (age 13 and older). Speakers from across the country will focus on topics that help equip men to be stronger in the roles God has placed us in.
Keynote speakers include Rev. Chuck Stecker, President and Founder of A Chosen Generation and Dr. Ken Canfield, founder of the National Center for Fathering. Along with the keynote speakers, there will be two “breakout” sessions with eight workshops to choose from on various topics, and nearly 30 different ministries on display, each offering a unique way to equip men to live stronger for Christ.
CSB has been invited to go to Zambia and train men in local churches to disciple boys through our programs.
We are going in April to work with our ministry partner, GEMS. They have been working in Zambia for more than two years and already have 28 churches with active GEMS programs. These churches are very anxious and excited to begin ministry for their men and boys. We very much need your prayers and support for this effort. We would ask all of our active churches to prayerfully consider sponsoring a unit in Zambia. Please read more of the details for sponsoring by clicking here. You are welcome to call or email with your questions.
