The Brigade Team

Christian Service Brigade is more than just a set of printed guide and achievement books.  It is more than just the weekly meeting, special events and camping.  CSB provides the tools and assistance to help your men reach out to their children families in the community.

Your Ministry!

Christian Service Brigade provides the resources and trains you how to use them.  You provide the leaders and the children.  It is your ministry to the youth and children of your church and community.  You will make the critical desisions on who you will reach, when you will proceed and what extent you participate in outside events.  CSB becomes your outreach.

Growth by Action

We all learn more by doing than listening.  By giving people a chance to lean discipleship skills, they will not only win and train others for Christ, they will grow in their own faith.  By making this process work with activities men are already familiar with we allow them to overcome the initial hurdles of relationship building.

Three Phase Program

Christian Service Brigade uses a multi phase program to reach boys and their families for Christ.

Phase 1: The Weekly Meeting

The weekly meeting is your ministries prime opportunity to model Christ to your children on a consistent basis.   Ninety minutes a week spent in crafts, games, bible exploration, skill development, and plain old fun.  Your leaders and boys work together and learn about God and each other.

Phase 2: The Child at Home

Since 90 minutes is such a small percentage of each week, Christian Service Brigade also aimed at creating more opportunities for Christian growth between the meetings.  Whether it is memorizing a bible verse or completing a craft for a seven year old and his dad, or a sixteen year old preparing to go on a missions trip, the achievement trails they follow continue to provide more challenging steps of faith for adult and children to explore together.

Phase 3: Special Activities

We all remember our "set" of spcial events, a horseback trail ride, the weekend camping in the rain, a trip to that favorite icecream stand.  Now imagine those activities being spent in the company of adults who demonstrate Christian values as part of their normal lives.  What if some of those activities also included the Bible as a regular part of the day.  These precious moments become signposts that lead us consistantly to God.  Because these special events can have such an impact CSB regularly holds summer camp for boys 8-18, Father/Son Team days, tournaments, conferences, and other events.  At each of these we provide a time to reflect on God's love and plan for our lives.  We also encourage local units to go camping, visit interesting places, do work projects, and spend time together outsite their weekly meeting.

Field Representatives

Christian Service Brigade has men around North America, dedicated to helping you succeed with your ministy.  In Canada we have several representatives. They are listed on our CSB Canada staff page :

Area Leadership

In many areas there are leaders and groups that have agreed to assist the Field Representatives in their region or city.  They will hold training courses, special events or welcome you to check out their weekly meeting.   They can provide an extra encouragement and resource for your leaders.

Other Local Groups

Many local Brigade groups spend time together for special outings or a shared weekly meeting.  Your Field Representative can put you in touch with other leaders in your area if you are interested in being involved in these special activities.
